Q&A

What is your favorite part of your job?

I really enjoy working with all of our customers to ensure their satisfaction. Every day is different and allows for the perfect combination of customer interaction and the utilization of my technical skills.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been give?

The best advice I have been given is to never stop growing and learning as a person. I think this applies both professionally and personally and is a reminder that each day you have the opportunity to be the best version of yourself.

What is a resource that has been valuable to you in your work, and what makes you appreciate it?

There are many valuable resources available to us working at AV:

  1. Leadership – Working with Kim (AssociationVoting CVO) and Jonathan  (AssociaotionVoting President & CTO) has been invaluable and such a great experience. They both have vast knowledge of technology and business practices and are always willing to help whenever needed. They are true partners and value each team member, which is so appreciated.
  2. Technology – In terms of technology, our CRM system and MS Teams Chat have been a tremendous support to the day-to-day operations of the business. Our CRM manages all of our account information, project timelines as well as daily tasks and helps keep our processes running smoothly. We use MS Teams for scheduling and our team chat. This allows communication access to the entire team at any moment, which is tremendously valuable when it comes to sharing information and finding resolution to inquiries.

What is your secret to staying organized during busy work periods (Fall Voting Season)?

Election cycles tend to be seasonal, and I use the same practices to manage my workload during high-paced and normal-paced times. I depend on our systems to manage day to day tasks, but more importantly, am always looking ahead to see what work is coming up in the next few days/weeks. This helps me keep the bigger picture in mind, which helps me work as efficiently as possible to complete whatever tasks are needed.

What is your favorite hobby and how did you get into it?

My favorite hobby is playing tennis, and I am active in a few different USTA leagues. I also enjoy golfing and am starting to pick up Pickleball. I like to be active and spend as much time outside as possible when the weather is nice.

What are you most looking forwards to this year?

I have 3 boys, which keep me busy year- round with their school and sports activities. My oldest will be graduating high school this year and will be attending Indiana University in the fall. We have a special family trip planned to get away and enjoy the sunshine in Punta Cana, along with some of the other graduating seniors’ families. We have a few other family events this summer into early fall, so we will be busy planning parties and celebrating accomplishments when I am not busy at work 🙂
