AssociationVoting.com’s voter election site seeks to comply with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.

All voter election site pages are tested through a W3C compliant validation tool to monitor compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.  AssociationVoting.com currently uses WAVE (Web Accessibility Valuation Tool) Browser Extensions to validate accessibility of our election software.  Accessibility Evaluation of our Election Site with WAVE.

  • Compliant forms and PDF documents

  • Table accessibility to ensure header and data cells are tagged and relationships defined
  • Informative descriptors for image links and text links
  • Custom controls for keyboard are accessible
  • Ensuring all pages have custom controls that provide proper textual name, role, and information
  • Ensuring all pages use appropriate use of buttons on their role and attributes
  • Ensuring all active elements receive keyboard focus or can be activated with the keyboardPLEASE NOTE: For content areas that are editable by the Voting Manager, our testing applies only to the default values. Voting Managers are encouraged to provide image captions/alt texts for all images.
